Estimates & Pricing

Do you offer free estimates?

Yes. Estimates are free and in writing. Call (626) 442-6555 to schedule a time to bring your vehicle in. If it isn't drivable, we can arrange a tow to our shop.

How long does an estimate take?

Most estimates take 15 to 30 minutes. We look at the visible damage, check behind it where we can, and write up the repair. If we find additional damage once the vehicle is apart, we document it and contact you and your insurance company before doing any extra work.

Can you give me a price over the phone?

We can give you a general idea, but an accurate estimate requires seeing the vehicle. Hidden damage behind a bumper or panel is common, and we'd rather give you a real number than a guess.

Do you repair cars without going through insurance?

Yes. If the damage is minor or you'd rather not file a claim, we'll give you a straight out-of-pocket price. For self-pay repairs we can also look at quality aftermarket or used parts to lower the cost if you prefer.

What forms of payment do you accept?

We accept cash, major credit cards, and insurance payments. If your deductible is a problem, ask about our 0% interest deductible financing.

Insurance Claims

Do I have to use the body shop my insurance company recommends?

No. In California you have the right to have your vehicle repaired at the shop of your choice. Your insurance company may suggest a shop in its network, but it cannot require you to use it. Tell your insurer you're using 20th Century Auto Body and we'll handle the rest.

Do you work with all insurance companies?

Yes. We work with every major insurance company, including State Farm, GEICO, Progressive, Allstate, Farmers, Mercury, AAA, Liberty Mutual, USAA, and Nationwide. We deal with the adjuster, send supplements if hidden damage is found, and keep the claim moving.

What is 0% deductible financing?

If your policy has a deductible you'd rather not pay all at once, we can finance it at 0% interest. Ask about it when you schedule your estimate and we'll explain the terms.

What if the other driver was at fault?

If the other driver's insurance is paying, you still choose the shop. Give us the claim number and the adjuster's contact and we'll coordinate with their insurer. We can also help you with a rental car while your vehicle is being repaired.

Should I file a claim or pay out of pocket?

It depends on the damage and your deductible. Come in for a free estimate first. If the repair costs less than or close to your deductible, paying out of pocket may make more sense. We'll give you the number and you decide.

Repairs & Warranty

How long will my repair take?

Minor bumper and dent repairs usually take a few days. Larger collision repairs with frame work or several panels can take one to three weeks depending on parts availability and insurance approval. We give you a time estimate up front and keep you updated during the repair.

Do you use original (OEM) parts?

Yes. We use original factory parts whenever possible. If your insurance policy specifies aftermarket parts, we'll explain your options before any work begins.

Will the paint match?

Yes. We match your factory paint code and blend the color into adjacent panels so there's no visible line between new and old paint. We use PPG, DuPont, and Glasurit paint systems.

Do you repair frame damage?

Yes. We measure the frame and unibody against factory specifications and straighten it back within tolerance. A vehicle with an unrepaired frame problem won't track straight and won't protect you properly in another accident.

What does your lifetime warranty cover?

All workmanship and materials we supply, other than paint and mechanical parts, are guaranteed for as long as you own the vehicle. Paint is covered by a separate written paint warranty. Mechanical parts carry the manufacturer's warranty, typically one year. The warranty is non-transferable and requires your itemized bill.

Do you repair all makes and models?

Yes, foreign and domestic. We regularly repair Lexus, Honda, Toyota, Nissan, Volkswagen, BMW, Volvo, Mercedes-Benz, and Chrysler vehicles, along with trucks and SUVs.

Towing & Rental Cars

Do you offer towing?

Yes. Towing is available 24 hours a day for our customers. If your vehicle isn't safe to drive after an accident, call us and we'll arrange a tow to our shop.

Can I get a rental car while my car is being repaired?

Yes. Rental cars are available to our customers. If your insurance policy includes rental coverage, we'll help you use it.

Is a repaired vehicle detailed before pickup?

Yes. Every vehicle is cleaned and detailed before it goes back to you, at no extra charge.
